Our most recent drama @chateaudebourneau
involved a kind offer to take drone shots of the château turning into a drone disaster 🙈 when it got wedged 30m up one of our trees lining the old driveway. These trees seem to have their own unpredictable windy 🌬 microclimate and drone-trapping appears to be their forté (this is not the first time a drone has got stuck here. 😬 The first drone dislodged on its own but this one was not so lucky.) Our ladder can only reach 15m but when everyone at the party is an engineer and rugby player🏉, solutions get creative! @valentinbirant
scaled the ladder and tied a long rope to the mid-part of the tree, whilst the rugby team used their muscle 💪 to try and shake it out. Particular mention to Ally who braved this crisis in his tartan pyjamas 🤣 The idea was great and the motion would easily have knocked the drone out had it not been well and truly wedged in a crown of branches. Eventually, after much debate, we had to call in a tree surgeon to scale the tree with ropes and even he couldn’t get the drone out without giving the tree a haircut 😂You can see it fall and nearly hit @guillaume_le_roy
in the end video😱. Luckily, I was not around at this point to be the Captain of Team Boring. I can barely watch the clip 🙈Everyone survived 😅, including the drone, and we have some really great photos of the château! ! I’m looking forward to sharing them with you soon. There’s never a dull moment here! Wishing you a lovely evening.
