PAUSED/DEADSTOP LUNGES 🔥 - This is my favourite variation of the Lunge and if used correctly is a fantastic exercise to implement on your leg days. I like to make this my last movement, using it as a finisher to burn the legs out. - TIPS: - 1⃣. As you step into the lunge you want to push out your leading knee to the side, keeping your chest up proud; this will help you maintain stability. - 2⃣. When holding weights you want to keep them in line with your hips and drive them down to the floor. - 3⃣. Control the negative and don't let the knee clatter off the floor. Let it rest for a few seconds then drive up. - 4️⃣. As you go to drive through the lunge you want to push through your leading heel and not let it lift up. You then drive hard through your back foot bringing your feet together. - 5️⃣. Finally as your feet come together really emphasise squeezing your glutes before going into the next lunge. - . . . . 1-2-1 & online coaching spaces available.
